US ZIP Code Map

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 18, 2026

This policy describes how US ZIP Code Map (“we,” “us”) handles information on uszipcodemap.com and related hostnames that serve this site. It covers the lookup pages, maps, contact form, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and advertising.

Who we are

US ZIP Code Map is a ZIP code map and lookup site. The operator can be reached through the contact form. We do not sell ZIP directory files. Census ZIP Code Tabulation Area (ZCTA) shapes on the map are not USPS delivery routes.

Information we collect

  • Contact form. Name, email address, and message, plus a hidden honeypot field used only to ignore bots. Submissions are processed and stored by Netlify Forms.
  • Server and security logs. Our host (Netlify) and related infrastructure may record IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamps, and request paths to operate, debug, and protect the site.
  • Maps. When a map loads, Google Maps JavaScript, Places, and Geocoding APIs run in your browser. Google may receive technical data as described in the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Analytics, tags, and ads. We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and advertising tags. Those products set cookies or similar storage and collect usage data as described below.

Search queries, map pans, and ZIP pages you open are typical web requests. We do not ask you to create an account.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (including Google Analytics 4) to understand how people use the site: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, referring sites, and similar events. Google may process this data on our behalf and for its own purposes as an independent controller, as explained in Google’s documentation. You can learn more and use Google’s opt-out tools at Google Analytics Opt-out and My Ad Center.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a container that loads analytics, advertising, and similar tags that we configure. Tag Manager itself is designed to collect little or no personal information, but the tags it fires — including Analytics and advertising pixels — do collect data. Which tags run can change as we add or remove marketing and measurement tools.

Advertising

The site participates in advertising, which may include Google Ads, Google AdSense or Ad Manager, and other display or measurement partners. Advertisers and ad networks use cookies, pixels, and device identifiers to:

  • serve and measure ads on this site and elsewhere
  • limit how often you see an ad
  • infer interests from browsing on this site and other sites that use the same networks
  • detect fraud and troubleshoot delivery

Google’s ad products are covered by the Google Advertising Privacy page. You can adjust ad personalization in Google My Ad Center and, where available, the NAI or DAA consumer opt-out pages. Opting out of personalized ads does not mean you will see no ads.

Cookies and similar storage

Cookies, local storage, and pixels may be set by us or by Google and advertising partners. They remember preferences where we offer them, measure traffic, and support ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Some map, analytics, and ad features may not work if you do.

How we use information

  • operate, secure, and improve the ZIP map and lookup pages
  • read and reply to contact form messages
  • measure audience and content performance with Analytics and Tag Manager
  • show, measure, and improve advertising
  • comply with law and enforce these terms

Sharing

We share information with service providers that process it for us: Netlify (hosting and forms), Google (maps, analytics, tag management, advertising), and other ad or measurement partners we load through Tag Manager. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the site and its users. We do not sell ZIP extracts. We do not sell your contact form contents as a mailing list.

Retention

Contact messages stay in Netlify Forms until we delete them or close the form. Analytics and ads data follow Google’s and each partner’s retention settings. Server logs follow our host’s defaults.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child submitted a form, use the contact page and we will delete it.

Your choices

  • Use the contact form to ask us to delete a message you sent.
  • Control cookies in your browser and use Google’s ad and Analytics opt-outs above.
  • If you are in a region with additional privacy rights (for example access or deletion), email us through the contact form and we will handle the request as required.

International visitors

The site is hosted in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information is processed in the U.S. and in other locations used by Netlify, Google, and advertising partners.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
